ShanghART gallery, with exhibition spaced in Shanghai and Beijing, is one of the oldest (founded 1996) and most respected galleries for contemporary art in China. The gallery has build up it's reputation by working closely with many of China's most innovative artists, showing their works in China and also introducing them to the international public (ShanghART participates regularly at Art Basel etc). In the same time, ShanghART has helped to build many of the best collection of contemporary Chinese art in the world. ShanghART 796 Huaihai Lu is ShanghART's newest venture in the heart of Shanghai. The exquisite glass walled space will feature regular exhibition of the over 40 artists represented by the gallery today.
